lyrics
I can tell a bad habit
From how I should behave
But I won't go
For what I hoped
It's what I do
It's just what I do
All my thoughts are flooded
I'm restless and I don't see the end
Afar from my own
I can't say what I really mean
Kinda gets under my skin
But I won't stand for what I’ve seen
It's what I'll do
That's just what I'll do
All my thoughts are flooded
I'm restless and I don't see the end
Afar from my own
All my talks are expected
I'm senseless, is it better to pretend?
I'm far from my home
Now it won me over to my doom
I can't command it
Now it's getting colder in my room
Where I can find it
All my thoughts are flooded
I'm restless and I don't see the end
Afar from my own
All my talks are expected
I'm senseless, is it better to pretend?
I'm far from my home

A truly stunning album that mentally transports you to foggy early morning streets, the pavement wet from recent rains. Dreary, but in a comforting way. Like sitting next to a window during a rainstorm, listening to the drops hit the glass while remaining warm. Never fails to make me feel safe. Crow Yo

I picked Brown Study purely for the Jens Lekman vibes. However, this entire album just gets more comfortable with every listen. This might be a niche take, but to me it's as if singer/songwriter Jens Lekman turned his hand to dream pop and trip hop while taking the rhythmic vibes of Cigarettes After Sex and dialing them up to "waking up in the morning after sex" tempo. It's a sonic trip is all I can say. riotgrrrl_meg
